I wish this 3rd issue of the Vanishing Point story is bit longer. “Cell Structure” story ends at an unexpected point leaving behind few unanswered questions. Story only captures a snippet from a greater story arc. A lot had happened before the starting point of the story and it is going to continue on…

Capitalist dystopia vs socialist utopia
Art style in Vanishing Point second issue remind me of The Flintstones. I was ready to enjoy a story in similar vibe. A light hearted, comedic story about a family who lives in a sky home. Basically a Flintstones in the sky story. How wrong I was. This one is far from a lighthearted cartoon.

Risks in future asteroid mining.
There are two ways to look at the story of the 1st issue of Vanishing Point comic book. First, it’s a story about an astronaut discovering a whole new lifeform out there in the space, or that said astronaut slowly losing his mind over time while working in extreme isolation.

Outside the Wire (2021): Captain Leo won his mission in the end
Capt. Leo was an advanced bio-tech robot. He grew conscious about the dangers of using his kind of robots in the future warfare. So he tried to protest the robotics program by attacking The US with a nuclear missile. Fortunately Lt. Harp stopped him. But I think Capt. Leo ultimately managed to prove his point.

Captain Leo was a US military cyborg. He schemed to attack The US with a nuclear missile. How did he progress so far without being caught? It seems like Capt. Leo had free rein to conduct his missions. With strict safety protocols, The US military could have prevented Capt. Leo from going rogue.

Why did time traveling Jake Epping prevent the JFK Assassination?
The novel 11/22/63 by Stephen King is about a time traveler who went back to 1958 to work up his way to prevent the John F. Kennedy assassination in 1963. But why did he do that? What was his motive?
