A promising aliens vs humans story with plot twists and dead ends.
I wish this 3rd issue of the Vanishing Point story is bit longer. “Cell Structure” story ends at an unexpected point leaving behind few unanswered questions. Story only captures a snippet from a greater story arc. A lot had happened before the starting point of the story and it is going to continue on…

Capitalist dystopia vs socialist utopia
Art style in Vanishing Point second issue remind me of The Flintstones. I was ready to enjoy a story in similar vibe. A light hearted, comedic story about a family who lives in a sky home. Basically a Flintstones in the sky story. How wrong I was. This one is far from a lighthearted cartoon.

Risks in future asteroid mining.
There are two ways to look at the story of the 1st issue of Vanishing Point comic book. First, it’s a story about an astronaut discovering a whole new lifeform out there in the space, or that said astronaut slowly losing his mind over time while working in extreme isolation.

Heart Eyes Killer has a long way to go to become a slasher icon.
Heart Eyes (2025) movie creators are hoping that their creation, Heart Eyes Killer is going to be an iconic character in slasher subgenre. My two cents is that this one movie isn’t enough to lift HEK up to slasher icons like Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, and Freddy Krueger.

White Noise by Andrew Santino was a letdown.
During “Bad Friends” podcast both Bobby Lee and Andrew Santino are not afraid to push jokes into borderline offensive territory. But in White Noise comedy special I did not see that flame in Andrew Santino.

The old woman Stella Flanders met real ghosts on the Reach.
This short story of 8750 words has so many names in it. I have counted 44 names. It was hard to keep track who was who. Despite that slight difficulty, story about this old woman and her fellow islanders is very beautiful. As soon as the story revealed the meaning of ‘the Reach’ I had…

Kraven the Hunter lost aura points to Calypso Ezili
There is an emptiness in the Kraven the Hunter world. Also eerie uncanny valley sense to the CGI animals in it. On top of that there’s a problem with Calypso Ezili taking out tracking work from Kraven which in turn reduces the impressiveness of Kraven’s “The World’s Best Hunter” title.

Lisa Frankenstein, what are you trying to tell us?
I know Kathryn Newton from Supernatural series and saw her starring in this latest retelling of the classic Frankenstein monster movie. I like creature movies and I like Kathryn Newton, so I tuned in to watch how Lisa Frankenstein is going to create a monster and what kind of modern spin they are going to…

Victor Tapia’s femicide story arc deserves a well-developed separate show
Narcos Mexico season 3 introduced a new character named Víctor Tapia to the series with a new story arc. But how important is his story arc to the main Narcos: Mexico plot? Víctor Tapia is a fictional character. His actions did not affect the main plotline in anyway. He was on this wild goose chase…

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight ended with no winners.
As a casual boxing fan I had two reasons to watch this fight. First, as a 90s kid Mike Tyson was the first ever name of a boxer that I had known because of his infamous ear biting incident. Second, I thought that Mike is the man to finally knock down Jake Paul’s smug face.…

Inseparable duos in The Wire TV series
Who are your favorite best friends/ best buddies pair from The Wire TV show? Is it criminal masterminds Stringer Bell and Avon Barksdale, or crime fighting Bunk and McNulty, or terrifying Chris and Snoop? The list goes on, too many options to choose from.

Did you catch these retcons in the new Croods 2 movie?
There are 4 retcons (that I know of) in The Croods: A New Age (2020) movie. Some of them do not affect the story that much, but others completely dismiss some character developments in The Croods (2013) movie.
